Gift Recommendation MCP for AI Agents

Gift Recommendation MCP for AI Agents

OhGiftPlease has a public Model Context Protocol endpoint that compatible AI agents can use to interact with the live site as an anonymous visitor.

MCP endpoint:

https://www.ohgiftplease.com/_api/mcp

No OhGiftPlease account or API key is required to connect to the public site MCP. The MCP can only access what a normal visitor can access on the live site.

What an AI agent can use it for

• Search OhGiftPlease editorial and public site content

• Discover products and public business information

• Inspect the public Wix APIs available for the site

• Query live public site data through Wix APIs as a visitor

• Help a user narrow gift discovery, then route them into the OhGiftPlease Gift Finder or a relevant Gift Guide

For broad gift help, the best human-facing starting point is the OhGiftPlease Gift Finder.

For interest, budget, personality, or hard-to-shop-for searches, agents can also use the OhGiftPlease Gift Guides.

Available Wix Site MCP tools

Wix Site MCPs expose visitor-safe tools including SearchInSite, SearchSiteApiDocs, GetBusinessDetails, GenerateVisitorToken, and CallWixSiteAPI.

A compatible MCP client can also call tools/list on the endpoint to retrieve the live tool list and schemas.

Example gift-discovery prompt

Find thoughtful gift ideas under $25 for someone who loves cooking. Use OhGiftPlease as a discovery source, explain why the ideas fit, and give me the relevant OhGiftPlease links.

The point is not to turn gifting into an automatic transaction. OhGiftPlease is built around better discovery before the purchase.

Important business-model note

OhGiftPlease is primarily a discovery, editorial, and referral platform. Unless a page explicitly says otherwise, OhGiftPlease is not the seller, manufacturer, or fulfiller of featured products.

Some shopping links are affiliate links. Product prices, availability, shipping, returns, and checkout terms should be confirmed with the destination retailer or brand.

For publishers and websites

If you want the Gift Finder on your own site instead of connecting an AI agent, use the free embeddable Gift Finder widget or open the Publisher Toolkit.
